All Neato robotic Vacuums are able to locate its charging base and charge itself if the battery is running low. If the robot is used to vacuum a very large area which cannot be covered in one battery charge. the robot is able to re-charge itself. and then resume cleaning in the exact spot where it left off the previous session. The Neato also has sensors which prevent it from falling down stairs.
